The author said that she wrote this book as a nod to K-dramas and you can really tell. It reads like a k-drama. Could someone please adapt this so I can watch it? Can someone maybe also make this into a bake good so I can also eat it? I want to consume it in every way possible. It was, delicious.
Right out the gate, both the FMC and the MMC are both truly powerful. Arguably, the FMC is more powerful because Soegka has lost his godly powers. And Hani is arguably a jerk, but we love her. Soegka is rude and condescending but we love him too. Their banter is top notch. They both truly hate each other in the beginning. There is no secret feelings that once has been harboring. Hani’s whole reason for signing up to be his assistant is to willfully and directly sabotage him. Soegka never wanted an assistant to begin with and he’s mad he’s been made to have one.
I knew the edokshini had to be one of the people with a speaking role, and I thought I had it figured out but I had no idea.
The whole book you know that they cannot have a happy ending. It is impossible given the premise. But dang it, I hoped. The ending isn’t sad, but definitely not a HEA. I simply cannot wait for the next book.
