Flirting With Forever by Claire Kingsley

Nora is a beloved character in the Dirty Martini Running Club series, and I'm so happy that she finally gets her own love story. Nora is one of my favorite characters in the series because she marches to her own beat without any shame. Throughout the series, Nora has been supportive of her friends' love stories, but scoffed at the idea of having her own. Nora is independent, successful, sexually liberated, and doesn't need a relationship. Everything changes when she starts to get to know her new neighbor, Dex.

Dex, a single father and tattoo artist, catches Nora's eye, but she doesn't want a relationship with him. I love Dex. He's the quiet and grumpy type, he's hot, and his relationship with his daughter, Riley, is so sweet. I love the grumpy single dad characters and Dex does not disappoint.

Dex and Nora have incredible chemistry and I loved watching them fall in love. Their relationship is a bit of a slow burn, specifically with the romance. The spice is well-written and doesn't overpower the story. I especially love how Nora doesn't sacrifice her sense of self for her relationship with Dex. She learns that she can still be her independent self while also being in a partnership.

I especially loved Nora's interactions with Riley. Nora doesn't try to replace Riley's mother in any way, but they form a bond that warmed my heart. Nora kind of reminds me of one of my "cool" aunts.

Flirting With Forever has is a solid romantic comedy and a wonderful conclusion to the Dirty Martini Running Club series (although I'm really hoping for a Jansen book!).
