Come to Me Quietly by A.L. Jackson

Honestly? This is the first book in a very long time I’ve decided not to finish - AND! I don’t even feel bad about it. I found these characters overly dramatic, and that’s coming from someone who looooves an angsty teen romance. While one character having a “secret” can be an interesting plot device, I found that continuously referring to it (without divulging the secret to the reader) in order to show you just how bad this guy’s internal monologue is rushed way past “plot device” and careened into “beating me over the head.” Yes, yes, he’s very angsty... are we gonna get to the plot or what? Obviously, I didn’t finish this book, so take this review with the appropriate salt, etc. but it wasn’t for me.
