The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman
3.0
This series has an interesting premise. The Library saves the best books in all the multiple universes. Our heroine is a young librarian on the trail of a version of Grimm's Fairy Tales that only exists in one universe unfortunately infected with chaos magic.
A lot of the story is exposition. The author makes it organic to the story, but there's still a lot of rules laid out that aren't really organic in themselves. For instance, chaos magic manifests as fairies, werewolves and vampires for some reason. Dragons, otoh stand for rational thought. And can appear as humans. I know this is a fantasy thing, though I don't really get it.
