Kennedy Ryan is a force to be reckoned with once again in the second novel of the Skyland series, This Could Be Us.

This is quite different from Before I Let Go in the sense that the romance felt more like a subplot rather than the main focus — but that’s what I loved about it. Watching Soledad journey of self-exploration was incredible to witness.

But just because the romance was the subplot, doesn’t mean it fell to the wayside. Ryan is always able to give us such beautiful, complex relationships and Soledad and Judah’s isn’t any different. Their relationship was mature, understanding, and they both complimented each other perfectly.

Ryan is an author for the ages and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the third book.
