Drown Her Sorrows by Melinda Leigh
5.0
I love Melinda Leigh books because and pardon the pun she kills the police procedural stuff from the crime scene to the investigation to the autopsy every detail is meticulous and sucks me in, and on top of that the storylines always keeps me guessing.
And book three in the Bree Taggert series is no different, even if it did get off to a bit of a slow start. Yet, it soon picked up and after a couple of chapters, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, and the mystery as to who murdered Holly Thorpe and why was top-notch.
Additionally, the characters and Bree's personal situation as she navigates caring for her niece and nephew, reconnecting with her brother Adam, mourning her sister Erin and starting a relationship with former deputy Matt, all added another layer to what was a confounding and enthralling story. And I'm really excited for what comes next and would happily recommend DROWN HER SORROWS to others.
