Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
2.0
Where do I even begin with this one? I went into this book thinking ‘How worse can this series get?’ and the author said ‘BET’.
Everything was done so horribly; from the Jacob chapters that went on and on and had no end to poor Bella hating that idiot nickname for her daughter and everyone except Edward just ignoring her and then, the whole imprinting thing.
How did the author think this was the best thing to do to end a love triangle? Reneesme calling Jacob hers and practically preferring him over her own dad was diabolical. Also, are we just going to ignore the whole engagement bracelet he gave her? Or how he was very territorial of her, even when it came to her own mother? What about Jacob seeing the birth and commenting on Bella’s naked body and how this wasn’t how he wanted to see her naked for the first time? I am not even going to comment on Edward calling Jacob 'son' towards the end, I’m still scarred from reading that.
Two stars go to Edward (again for being the best character), the Cullens and the lore behind the Volturi. Heck, maybe even the witnesses’ cool powers. And that’s honestly too many stars. I’m still stuck between that and a one-star review. What an awful ending to this series. I 100% do not recommend.
