All the Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham

2.0

Aw the deep love of the poetic flourish. It is very prevalent in this book and very painful.  Sweat pools like gravy.  Statues wrenching up something dark. Fog hovering over the ground like a ghost.  It is such a strange flow of writing in this story and it doesn’t really add anything for the reader.  It didn’t help me understand place or characters better.  In fact the narrator is so straight forward in other parts though things are always coming back to her sleep addled mind that is it just feels inconsistent.
Part of this story I feel pretty sure was a part of a Grey’s Anatomy episode twenty years ago.  But all of that said I did want to finish it to make sure I guessed the conclusion right and I did. So 2 stars for making me want to the know the ending.
