Esme is a young, bright and curious girl. One day, she's in the scriptorian with her father and other lexicographers putting together words for the first dictionary. She comes across a word written on a piece of paper that has fallen on the ground. The word is 'bondmaid' and Esme decides to keep it. Here, we see unfold  a beautiful story of a young girl who realises that so many wonderful words relating to women are being left out of the dictionary.
Esme decides  to secretly take these words and keep them in a safe place so they will not be lost and forgotten.

A book like no other. I loved it and highly recommend it to you.
