One of the best standalone sci-fi books I have read. I would give it 5 stars, but this book has that annoying trope where

MC has the opportunity to kill the big bad villain, but decides to spare him, because she doesn't want more blood on her hands. If she just did that, half of the book didn't have to happen.

Other than that, I don't have any criticism for the book.
