Every woman Justin dates finds their soul mate once they break up. And thanks to a Reddit thread, this information is all over the internet. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan that will help them cancel out their curse and find the loves of their lives. Emma is a travelling nurse whose next assignment wasn't supposed to be anywhere near Minnesota, but she and her best friend decide that dating Justin is too good of an opportunity to pass up. It's meant to be a fling, just for the summer, but when Emma's toxic mother suddenly shows up and Justin unexpectedly has to assume guardianship of his three siblings, they're suddenly juggling more than expected.
Justin and Emma are two of my favourite characters that Abby has written to date. And dual POV? My favourite. I adored the premise of these two characters being 'cursed' and embarking upon a curse-breaking pact. I had a great time seeing how they go about this pact together. I absolutely loved the romance shared between Justin and Emma, as well as all the Easter eggs that were sprinkled throughout this book from the previous two (Part of Your World and Yours Truly). The banter is well done and had me kicking my feet. These characters have stolen my heart and I'll definitely be revisiting them in the future!
As always, Abby's characteristic humour shines through in many places, leaving my giggling to myself as I read. The raccoon scene was a highlight for me, IYKYK. I adore Abby's humour which is unique and she's honestly just so funny. That aside, Abby's also excellent at writing traumatic events and experiences into her stories with such delicacy and care.
