The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion

reflective sad slow-paced

2.5

I think I came in with too high of expectations with the hot-girl-hype around Didion. I love memoirs and nonfiction, but it felt like she didn’t write anything groundbreaking. It’s very repetitive, it never felt like we got to know her better or her reflection. But maybe that’s the point—I don’t know.
