Shame by Annie Ernaux by Annie Ernaux
4.5
Literally perfectly encapsulates the feelings and thought processes of adolescence
Reckless by Lauren Roberts
2.75
Not sure why I put myself through this knowing my own dislike of powerless.
I guess I was hoping the plot and writing would improve.
I have never read such repetitive and irritating internal monologue.
The whole book is road trip fan fiction with 0 plot.
The ending was predictable and a cheap attempt to create enough intrigue for the last book of the series

The Rising by Jo Riccioni

This book was really disappointing after how much I enjoyed the first one.
The pacing felt really off. Battle scenes felt rushed and the book felt more like a prolonged prologue rather than a sequel.
Nara also become mildly insufferable with near to no character development
