This was just overall completely disappointing. I did not like the writing style. It was very bland. I kept waiting for something to happen, and I kept getting disappointed because it never did. Never got used to the disappointment.

A cute and quick read! Love the premise. Accept all of who you are because you’re a work of art.

Definitely not your typical Frieda book. It was an insult to women and doctors. It said it was a short, comedic novel; while it was short, it wasn’t funny. It was full of women being nasty to one another, malpractice, and feeding into the dumb woman narrative.

This was beautiful.

A bit over my head, but still beautiful.

So sad, yet so hopeful. A story of a doctor who became a lung cancer victim.

There was an in there about science versus religion that I’m going to have to go back and re-read because I don’t think I agreed with it at all. However, it was another of those great reads that gave me lots to think about.

Very thoughtful and thought-provoking!

We are always in a constant struggle between our thinking brain and our feeling brain. I feel that.

Wow. Just wow.

I knew the book said it would be unlike any other Holocaust story ever told, but I didn’t believe it until I finished it. Man, oh, man, what a gut-wrenching, heartbreaking and hopeful story of a boy and his father. Just beautiful and accurate and wonderful.
