Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
The urgency of the prologue and the overall summary made this seem like it was going to be more of a critique on her experience than it was. At least as far as I got.

The narrative voice/style of writing also just didn’t capture my attention. This was a highly anticipated read for me when I discovered it, due to the topic, but it just didn’t do it for me. Sorely disappointed.

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it did not disappoint me. I would definitely call it more thriller than horror other than the “monster” element, though.

Monstrilio is the brother to the Minotaur and Frankenstein’s Monster (not literally). They didn’t ask to be born! They try so hard to be what you demand of them! Yet all they want is to be understood and loved!

No matter what happened in this book, no matter the mistakes and moral grays, I loved M from beginning to end.

I think my reading comprehension is not as high as it should be for a book like this. However, I really did enjoy it for what I understood and there are some truly divine lines within.
