It would be simply resolved if the mother would answer Canadian
This is an amazing read and it is a great conversation starter for children in North America about the societal pressures and systematic issues that have been caused by history

Dorothy meets new friends Button Bright (a lost, memory loss toddler) and Polychrome (a rainbow spirit that fell off a rainbow) and sees all her old friends from the previous stories, as she slowly learns she is on the other side of the Oz desert and Princess Ozma's birthday gala is upon the citizens of Oz
The ending is beautiful and a perfect way to end Dorothy journeys in Oz

Dorothy and her new friends team up with her old friends(scarecrow, cowardly lion and tin woodsman) along with the new and rightful queen of Oz, osma, to save the queen of ev and her children
