Not quite what I wanted it to be but still enjoyable, sexy, and funny. The serial killer stuff as a metaphor for trust issues was a bit of a stretch IMO.

Overall a great read: fast—paced, funny, thoughtful, and moments of unironically beautiful writing.
Disappointed that there’s really only one sex scene (although the foreplay scenes are brilliant) and I felt like the ending was a bit rushed and the threads of the story just tied up a bit too neatly.
But also, this is my first romance novel, read in anticipation of Bridgerton 3, so maybe a complex plot and tons of obstacles/setbacks for the characters are not the point.
