I went in to this book not expecting much, I have heard only good things but hadn't really sought out the plot and now i'm glad I went in blind.
This was a WILD ride.
We start bu getting the introduction to the POV's we hear from
Jade - Who match with Kevin and things she's found her one, but he lives in Australia half way across the world. Jade decides to go meet him but is in for a shock when she arrives. I did like Jade and by the end i'm glad things worked out for her but for a while I felt so bad for her pulled in to a scheme.
Mandy - oh god Mandy if I thought I felt bad for Jade it was nothing to how I felt about Mandy. She matched with Richard and after already having a failed marriage she is ready to settle down and start a family or try to again. Richard died before she got that chance but when his mother and sister offer her the chance to have his baby Mandy agrees and I bet she wished she hadn't.
Nick - In a loving relationship with Sally until they take the test and he matches with a man named Alex, I liked Nick but it was more that his narrative brought around growth and he really got fucked over but came through it all better than before.
Chris - argumentatively the most entertaining POV, a killer who wants to find love? He matches with Amy a Police sergeant what could go wrong?
Elle - The Finder of the gene and the creator of the new DNA test to get to your match she wants to find some love herself. Tim was nothing she thought she'd want but she did but nothing was going to stand in either of these characters way.
I was HOOKED!
The plot was great, the whole way through it seems liked The One service was a little shady, Jade felt nothing for Kevin but did his brother. Mandy was not matched to Richard to many little things but she ended up having his baby because his mother who wasn't actually his mother convinced her too. Nick a man who thought he was happy but just needed something to open his eyes to new things and feelings and really get away from that wife. Chris a killer who matches with a police officer funnily enough I don't think this match up was wrong. Elle the centre of everything, Tim not who he says he is. He made the system fail on purpose and we get the stories of few that are happening at the time.
The reveals really hit well, I mean every character had a reveal SO FUN!
Jade in love with Kevin brother... opps!
Mandy pregnant with maybe not her matches baby, whose 'mother'
the writing was greta and will definitely be reading from this author again. The tension was thick and entertaining it kept you so invested in every one of the characters, plots and side plots right until the very end.
This was a hit and it also kinda surprised me, you should give it a go.

I loved the characters in this book, Callie was likeable and following her was great she’d had a hard life but that doesn’t stop her from being a badass. Des I loved Des he was everything I wanted dark, mysterious yet loving and caring. Callie’s best friend Temperance was awesome and I need more of her story please.
The world was built well as a set up, here in the world supernaturals are known to exist they even have there own police force I liked that. I do wish there was more development in Des’s world, maybe in the books that follow?
The writing was well done fast paced, I loved the flashbacks we got that was one of my favourite things that came from this story, they didn’t take away from the overall narrative just added to it!
The plot was slightly predictable as I read this as buddy read we both predicted something that came to pass, I mean maybe the sequels will have more shock value.
I was quite invested in this story and these characters, it gave me A court of mist and fury vibes and I was living for it. I will definitely be picking up the other book in this series!
