I enjoyed this. It really seems like the author wanted to come across as a real person and I believe she accomplished this. I felt the connection she was making and reading it felt a lot like talking to an old friend you haven’t seen in awhile. She shares stories that caused her all of the emotions from sheer joy to utter humiliation and that made her a relatable narrator. Definitely worth the read.

I enjoy the way that Katherine Center writes a romcom. It’s a bit different than many which I enjoy and the fast pace really sucks me in. This one has plenty of drama involved and I find it just delightful. Definitely recommend.

This had some real interesting history in it. It’s quite a bit of information and wasn’t always done in the most interesting way. This made some of it feel much longer than it really was. The narrator was a perfect choice for the book and I do appreciate that.

I always enjoy a story from this author. She has a way of blending a good mystery with romance. Theres a plenty of suspense and while it may be obvious where it’s going, it’s still a journey to get there that I look forward to every time.

If you recall the Piper Falls series with the fireman, you’ll remember this little town and we’re back but this time with the police department. There’s plenty of triggers to be aware of in this book, mainly DV and SA as they play big parts in some backstory. The backstory is given to us in flashbacks and I love that about this story. It really builds the connection with the character and allows you to root for her success.

I definitely enjoyed this rollercoaster of a book!
