I wanted to like this book so bad. The entire time reading it, it felt like if I kept pushing thru it would get better but it kinda feel flat for me.

I did like rielle. I loved reading about the magic aspect and the trials. A couple of the parts in her pov actually had me on the edge of my seat. The plot was super interesting too.

While I did like rielle, I found eliana to be utterly infuriating. I do know that it’s kinda the point because she has to survive for her and her brother but still. Damn. I had to wait 230 pages to find one thing about her that I liked. Then she shot it down after too. I went into this book blind too and so I found dual povs to be kinda confusing. Because why are you reading about both of these women. Like that’s the point of it. You do eventually figure out why but it’s almost at the end of the book.

Thank you to netgalley and entangled publishing for an e-arc!

So to be honest this book makes me conflicted. I both liked and disliked this book. I kept reading because I couldn’t stop but I liked it less and less the more I read.

Blurb:
Bryn has a weekend trip in Vegas but after a night of drinking, she finds herself married and mated to the king of fae.

The Good
The blurb of the books makes it sound like a lot but at first when reading it, it’s not that bad. So I liked it. I liked that there was fae and she was kidnapped and forced to stay in his house while they sort out the mess of getting married. I also enjoyed the writing for the most part as well.

The not so good
I didn’t like the spice. I don’t mind bdsm and the dom sub type spice. But at times I found the spice to kinda put a sour taste in my mouth. I didn’t like the extreme submissive thing that Bryn did during any spice. There was also a kinda lack of world building. Like it kinda explains it but I felt like there were parts that could have had more. I also HATED the references to things like twilight and games of thrones. I feel like when a book any them, it really dates the book.

Overall
I liked it but I also didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I liked it ok. For the most part it was cute and I didn’t mind it even though I don’t usually love rom-com’s. I kinda hated violet. She seemed selfish and I get that what she went thru was so hard for her but I hated that she was so focused on what she was feeling and ignored the effort that daisy went thru for her (even though it was kinda miss on daisys part) I also didn’t like the twist of sorts. It felt kinda forced and overly dramatic. I personally didn’t think it made that much sense. I’m not going to say what the twist was but yah daisy had a right to be mad for it but she liked it the entire time. And completely cutting him off for it???? Dramatic. Especially since it was a mutual thing. Didn’t love it. But I’m also not quite the right audience for the book either. So take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Thank you to storygram for sending me this book!

I literally binged all three books in 2 days.
This is a omegaverse, which is an entire thing of its own, and this was my first omegaverse. I had some ideas of what it’d be like but it was better than I’d expected. I lovedddd kaden. There’s nothing hotter than a man who is broody but caring. I loved the Ayla being kidnapped was still better than her home life. The plot really really grew on me too. At first I thought it was a bit much and a tad slow but it slowly made sense and it got to be really good and worth it.

“you’re already in mine, too, Little One. Every time I close my eyes I see you holding a blade to my throat with your eyes burning as if you were born in blood and violence,”

holy fucking shit. This. Book. Was. Amazing.

The world of humans is protected by a veil to kelp them safe from the fae. But one day the veil come crashing down and Estrella finds herself fae marked and running from her mates fae with Caelum who is also fae marked.

Ok but this book checks all the boxes
✅ Violent female mc
✅ touch her and you die energy
✅ male love interest who the there women violent
✅ gives from blood and ash energy

I knew I was going to love this book but I didn’t know I was going to love it this much. I LOVED it. I couldn’t put it down I found it so interesting. The world building was done so well, I really enjoyed it. I loved this book so much I’ve convinced 3 different people to preorder it. It’s more of a slowburn of sorts it doesn’t have any spicy until later in the book which makes me love it so much more.

ABSOLUTELY A 5 STAR READ AND YOU NEED TO READ IT.
