Very cute. Discussed some deep topics but still light enough to process for the tiny humans. I looooved this inanimate object and think we should have more stories like this and the actual impact the typewriter has on the world. Really enjoyed this.

I have finally read this heart wrenching story and it felt a bit disjointed for me. There were definitely some sad moments and I enjoyed the difficult parent/child relationship because it is hard, there’s trauma everywhere and sometimes we’ll never know or get the answers we want. But I think the writing style is just not my vibe. I felt pulled out of the sadness many times and then having to maneuver around metaphors that just didn’t land for me.

There were parts of this story that I enjoyed more than others. I think my biggest problem with this book was the length of the chapters and the time it took to get to the actual plot. The story is split into 2 parts and part 1 was ALOT of background for the character but I really no true growth, maybe a little bit of plot substance. And then part 2 was more action, I enjoyed the additional Spirit characters we met but again the plot and journey just dragged. I will continue to book 2 and read the physical because the audio was more annoying and I don’t want to take away from the story itself.

Based off the synopsis I thought I was going to really love this story, so many buzzwords for me but unfortunately I think the back n forth timeline really was hard for me to grasp who the characters were and the impact that they were experiencing. There were some heartfelt moments and nuggets to sit with. I did enjoy the author’s style of writing, it’s witty and light but still has the ability to pack a punch of reality. I would be interested in reading another book by him.

This was so good and so cute! I loved Addy’s character so much and honestly she taught me more than I was expecting, not just about people who are autistic but simply there is no right or wrong way to function with autism. Some people are high functioning and some are more sensory sensitive. I’m so glad I read this and would definitely recommend this!

Gaaahhh this was so good. Why it took so long idk but this was entertaining, fun and witty, adventurous. All the things we want that keeps the pages turning! Kaz is truly one of a kind and the crew of thieves were hilarious in their own ways.

I still enjoyed these siblings. But not as much as book 1. I will definitely read more from this author.
