Can't imagine the following as a spoiler, since HPaTPoA was published over 20 years ago, but just in case, spoiler warning!!

If you're familiar with the saga, you already know about Peter's betrayal of James and Lily. However, I find it a bit anti-climatic having it explained in the book by just one character over a single scene that takes place almost at the end of the book. Just a thought.

Still, fun to read and to see Harry meeting people who were actually close to his parents, people who loved them and love him too.

Don't dismiss Rowling's actions, though.

Before I say anything about this book, I ask you to check its trigger warnings if you want or are planning to read it. It's more than just a sad book, and it isn't for everyone.

With that said... Wow.
I've been looking for a favorite book for some time now, and I'm sure I finally found it. It has beautiful prose, beautiful characters, and beautiful relationships. Although I wanted to know how it finished, I also found that I didn't want it to end, that I wanted to read more about the characters, to learn more about their lives. I usually don't read lengthy books since I'm a slow reader, but I didn't mind it at all with this book.
I could go on and on about this book, but to put it simply, if I had to describe "A Little Life" in two words, I would say it's hauntingly beautiful.
I also want to add that I listened to the audiobook along with reading, and the narrator, Oliver Wyman, did a fabulous job. If you have the chance to listen to it while reading, I'd recommend it.
