Holy moly this was amazing. Genuinely can’t think of a single complaint. This book built upon everything it promised in the first one, and then some.
I absolutely adored the characters, and how much depth we got to see from multiple characters. Each story was so compelling, loved it.
The magic in this series is so amazing, and the atmosphere and sense of history just really drove this home for me. I love a world that feels so full and complete, like it will exist outside of the story, and this hit the nail on the head for me.
Anyways, TLDR; loved it and 100% recommend (just check your trigger warnings).

Jimenez may be a new favourite author fr. This was so funny, and so heartwarming. Made me cry, and made me laugh. So much romance and so much heartbreak. Just so good.
Only thing was that some parts dragged a little for me towards the end. Also wasn’t obsessed with the ending personally but the rest of the book was really really good.

My god I loved this. I’m tired bc I’ve stayed up late reading this and have been crying on and off since the halfway mark but wow what a book.
My favourite romances are ones where the characters face real issues, and have to work on themselves in order to end up together, so I already suspected this would be a hit.
Justin is incredible, and if I had one complaint about this book it would probably be that I wish he had a little more development, as he seemed a little unrealistic at times but honestly that’s so minor and doesn’t take away from the rest of the story about Emma and her mum (and Maddy).
I loved the empathy shown in this book, and the self-healing that takes place. There are so many gems of dialogue and of writing that I’ll take with me and I’m really so glad I picked this book up.
Check your trigger warnings for sure but if it sounds like something you can handle, I highly recommend.

I loved this so much. Had no issues at all, only praise. The characters are so gosh darn likeable, and I’m obsessed with how Liz makes them so full of life and well rounded. They all have real issues that they learn to overcome or deal with and really the romance just feels so real and believable. They feel like real people (albeit a little amazing at communication lol). I honestly didn’t think anything could beat The Right Move and Ryan and Indy but this is definitely at least tied. Loved it so much.

The first half kinda dragged, but holy smokes the second half was phenomenal!!! I’m in love w the setting of this book, it’s so atmospheric and the world-building is also impeccable. The magic system is so unique and I adore the way it’s explained, as a sort of religious decline? I’m not sure if I’ve phrased that right, but either way I love how it’s done.
The characters are all also so compelling, and once you get to know them, they really drive the story forward.
I was also giggling and kicking my feet at some parts in this, I do love me some angst and slowburn.
Anyways super keen to read the next one, and yes, my only complaint was the pacing felt off. But stick with it!!! It gets good, and I hear even better things about the sequel.

A banger!! Love the different POVs, and all the characters feel so unique. The tense parts were rlly good and as was the mystery. Some parts are easier to guess than others, but it is a kids book and I’m 20+ lmao so I’ll forgive it.

This was actually so so cute!!!
The art is absolutely stunning, and the story itself was so heartwarming and cozy. Brilliant messaging about maintaining culture and how precious information and practices can be, all wrapped up in an adorable fantasy world.
Also just so much casual diversity included, in terms of race, LGBTQ+ and disability, just so beautiful.
Only complaint is that it was too short!! But absolutely recommend for anyone, especially if you’re wanting a cozy fantasy.

A cute queer romance, and I loved Ray and the filming crew. But, I didn’t love Simone, and didn’t entirely believe the chemistry between the two. I feel like their relationship and feelings kinda came from nowhere?? Oh well, still enjoyable enough, with some nice messages about being yourself and standing up for what’s right.

I really enjoyed my time reading this book!!! I adored the casual way that diversity representation was included, everything felt so normal (as it should!) but also they all faced realistic challenges? Amazing.
Ofc also enjoyed the F1 setting, and the premise of brother’s best friend / childhood friends to lovers was super cute and again, made for a realistic read.
Had slight troubles with pacing but overall was a great read that’s sweet, spicy and fun. Definitely recommend if it sounds like your jam!

Really enjoyed this one, and loved being back in Elsie’s world. Love the single dad trope lowkey, and this was a cool take on it. I really liked the slow development of their relationship, and how it feels slow and fast all at once because they’ve always had the foundation of friendship/banter for most of their lives. Unsure if I’ll be thinking about it all the time, so that’s why it’s not rated higher, but I definitely enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next in the series.
