This was such a disappointment. I loved her last 2 adult novels and really thought this would be up there.

It was cringey in a way that will date this book in years to come, it was messy (felt rushed and unedited), and also boring. I didn’t really care for the characters’ backstories and I think this book was trying to do too much. Maybe would’ve been better served had we been introduced to the fictional world in her previous works.

There was also a lot of telling instead of showing and I quickly got tired of hearing about her best friends and her ex and blah blah blah.

I read that people had issues with the third act conflict so I did skip to the last few chapters and yikes. Had I continued reading I would’ve been very irritated.

Hopefully her next one works for me!

Gripped me almost immediately. Once things really kicked up I felt so nervous and tense the whole time; I love how Jackson was able to cultivate that.

The ending was underwhelming and that’s why it’s not higher, but overall really enjoyable.

This was great. I really liked how the information was presented and I learned about so many women i’ve never heard of.

That being said, it was also GROSS at times so if you’re squeamish, definitely be aware lol.

Ah my heart! The buildup over the cycle to a few key scenes was so worth it. There were still some twists & turns. I can’t wait to reread them!

This was such a unique series. I wouldn’t know how to describe it but I’m extremely glad I read it. And I love all of the romances 🥹

The only real negative I have for this one is there were some new characters introduced & I dislike that in final books.

This was a little like a fever dream 😅

I think I’ll like this one a lot on reread. There was so much packed into this sequel!

We learned a lot more about the characters, there continues to be a mystery, and I really liked the slight romances.

Love this world and her writing. Looking forward to book 3!
