The ending was basically screaming in my face that there would be a sequel. Would I still read it? Obviously.

i realize now that reading multiple books in a day makes them all mesh together to the point where i don’t know what to say in a review.

I don’t know what to say I just... I can’t put my trust in anybody I literally can’t have certain feelings for a character for more than 10 pages before I completely change my mind about them. I can’t do this anymore why isn’t it November yet I need the third book like. Now
Spoiler
I'm SCREAMING i literally cant.,mnrejhjjbdbjh oh my god.... okay so basically i started off the last book absolutely HATING on Nezha because obviously he was a complete ass.... but then he GREW on me at the end of that book and even tho i had way more trust in kitay (I still do, he's the only character whom I've kept my opinion on the same for the entire series.) i was still infatuated by him!!! like i love a good enemies to lovers story as much as the next person and the whole school-rivals to war-partners to lovers storyline was too good to pass up on!!!! and then he gets captured at the end of the first book because of altan. goddamnit i hate altan. i hate him so much. he fills me with so much rage that i cant describe it and i hate that rin was in love with him.
but anyway when he gets kidnapped and kitay mentions that he's dead at the end i knew there was something wrong. because we got that scene where a member of the cike thought it was suspicious that he had the dragon thing or whatever and that hadn't been resolved yet.
AND THEN HE COMES BACK AND HES BEAUTIFUL AS EVER BUT HES GOT THE BURN SCAR LIKE ZUKO AND I DYGSVBHJDHGBN
I am a weak man...i see angsty villain turned good with a scar and i immediately am in love.
and so is rin apparently!
ok that part where she gets the visions from Daiji as shes trying to break the seal and she sees altan and kitay or whatever and ramsa says shes getting married (AHHHHH) i literally in my heart knew who it was talking abt. lets be honest....
and then the underwater KISS and the water powers and the whole "we are fire and water and together we can defeat air" I was GONE. like i already knew i was gone but now i was GONE gone. i have not recovered.
and then he betrays her for his father and he lets her leave even tho she sees their ship and I UHSBEWUH and rin says that all of her feelings for him are gone and she wants to burn him and I DONT KNOW HOW TO FEEL!!!!! I'm getting such mixed vibes !!!!! what is happening chbdwvbjn i need the next book NOW
(Side note- the death of all of the cike? BRUTAL. I genuinely started crying when baji and suni were killed and then when Ramsa died with a smile on his face because he got to do it doing the one thing he loved the most-blowing shit up. I loved them so much I'm literally so hurt by this i cant even describe the painb dgdjsbh) ok bye I'm done rambling but i literally want to die.

i didnt think i would like this since i’m not a fan of most new adult romances but i thought it was pretty decent...ivan is weird as hell for beefing with a 16 year old when he was 20 and pointing out her weight though. loser.
