There was a bit too much dragging of the story too it’s inevitable end. It’s a shame because it had the potential to be a 4+ star and ended up 3.25-3.5 instead

I struggled between 3.75 and 4 for this book. I like the sound of the author’s voice but the book didn’t grab me as I had hoped it would. You also need to suspend a bit of belief while reading. All said though I enjoyed the time I spent reading it and the feel of being back in Venice/Murano.
