Classic cozy from the inventor of the genre. My only complaint is I wanted more of Miss Marple and her perspective as opposed to the POV of so many other characters. Nevertheless I will continue my read through the series.

I really enjoyed the first 3 books in the series but this one left me flat and struggling to get through. Specifically, I hate when authors put us in the bad guy’s head for brief glimpses into what turns out to be a flat or one dimensional psyche. Furthermore, Adelia, just didn’t seem as strong a character in this story as she had been previously and that’s what attracted me to the story. Lastly absolutely no closure and worse a cliff hanger ending (and there’s no sequel). Overall I’m sorry I returned to the series.
