I'm usually not a horror fan and didn't realize this was a horror novel. I also didn't know that this was a graphic audiobook that included sound effects. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat, but I actually still enjoyed this book! I enjoyed the social commentary and this style of horror. I did not know what to expect in terms of this author's writing because of his other titles. But he is a great writer! I would like to check out Camp Demascus now.

This was a stellar memoir, particularly by someone as young as Drew. It was personal, but it also educated readers about dismantling the patriarchy in a way that is relevant to women and femmes in 2024 navigating the misogynistic world of our time. It was of course infused with Drew's signature sense of humor, but it also gave great context for her videos & platform.
