It has been a very long time since I've been as angry at a book as I am at The Last Bloodcarver.

A solid 3.5 story for 99% of the story (I would have preferred more medical stuff than the crime mystery stuff), this book ends in the absolute worst way possible.
How, in the year of our lord 2024, are we still writing stories where women give up their lives for some shitty man they've known for 2 weeks?!?! It's not romantic, it's not inspiring, and it's not aspirational. It's actually genuinely fucked up.

If this had been my own copy, and not the library's, I would have thrown the book across the room with the express intent to destroy it.

Too many characters and too many timelines. I understand why it was told that way but I would have preferred a linear narrative.
