Another wonderful volume. I love the characters, I love the setting, I love the story. It's so wholesome and cute. I have nothing bad to say about it.

I don't know what it is, but I feel like the events of the anime and manga are in a slightly different order. The story feels like it's progressing a lot faster than the anime does. I think it's because we don't get a lot of Kagome in modern times at this point in the series, and in the anime it feels like every 5 episodes it becomes a Slice of Life school setting.

I am enjoying reading the manga. We get more of  InuYasha's inner thoughts and it's more clear where he stands with Kikyo in the manga. He has so much survivor's guilt. There's also some scenes in the manga that aren't in the anime that add more context to some events.

I love this series. So far, this is my favorite volume, and it had two of my favorite arcs from the anime.
I got all emotional again over hamburgers. (if you know you know)

This was the first really exciting arc of the series. InuYasha learning a new skill,  Meeting Koga, Meeing Kagura (one of my favorite villains in the series, I like her more than Naraku actually),  Sesshōmaru meeting Rin.

I am really loving this series. I loved seeing Nanoka  come into her own a bit more in this volume.
I look forward to her being more of a badass in the future.

The problem I have with reading manga as it's coming out, is that the wait between volumes ends up being long enough that I forget some of what happened in the previous volume. This did happen here a little. But thankfully I remembered quickly enough.
This series is deceptively dark. I'm always shocked at how dark things get. And this volume was a little gross.
I wish I didn't have to wait for the next installment, but I am so excited that the anime has trailer. I can't wait for this story to be an anime.

I not only forgot to mark this as 'to-read', and 'read', but I completely spaced on writing any thoughts on it down.

Needless to say, this is amazing. I am really enjoying experiencing this story through the manga after watching the first season of the anime, twice.
I love the characters, I love the world. I just love it all.

Probably biased, but I am really enjoying reading this series for the first time.
