Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by Jack Thorne
4.0
4.5 stars.
I finish this in one sitting and Im not even mad about it.
This review is going to contain spoilers because I just can't keep my mouth shut!!!
In the beginning of the read I needed to tell myself its a script and a play so my mind need to get use on how I am going to imagine the story is going to be like and how the plot will be going straight into it rather than having a few pages story on it.
Secondly character!
Albus - OMG EVERYBODY MUST HAVE WANT TO PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE. HAHAHA. Well we all got to understand he is just going through alot being a Potter kid and be in Slytherin. (I would want to be a Slytherin) But over the time he learn his lesson and thankfully change.
Scorpious - I am more intrigued by his character. He is my fav character. I could literally imagine a junior Malfoy being so geeky and nice. I TOTALLY SHIP HIM AND ROSE. Can you imagine Hermione and Ron being in laws with Malfoy. His friendship with Albus was so cute and funny.
Hermione and Ron - They are such a cute couple aren't they. Both of them are exactly what I imagine. Although when one part Hermione became a mean professor, I was like woooooooooo we like badass mean Hermione.
Malfoy - I have never love his character so much. We all could see at the end of the Harry Potter series how much pain he was in and to know his story in this script was amazing as we get to understand the things he go through. I am glad he found Friendship in Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Ron. My favourite line of his was definitely when he said sorry of Ginny's kitchen. Its a scene everybody wants to watch Malfoy and Harry fighting in the kitchen and getting into trouble. CUTE.
This script made me laugh, cry, smile everything. All of the feels. I love how it sticks to the theme of love, family, friendship as it always has been.
I did not see it coming of Delphi being Voldermort's daughter (SHE HAS A NOSE) hahahaha. But the scene where she wants to see her father was quite sad too.
We all don't want to turn back time because all the changes are UGLY.
The change when Harry died instead was the worse world ever. But at least we got to relive Snape's moment for a while. The fact he was proud he still made the sacrifice (knowing the future) And he was honoured Albus has his name. Sigh.
The saddest scene when everyone witness the death of Lily and James Potter. Especially to Harry.
Overall, this book was a good end the Harry Potter series. All the feels we want, the shipping, the friendship. I wish i could see the play though.
NOW IM ALL WAITING FOR FANTASTIC BEAST!

First, this script is just amazing but of course its not that amazing as the other harry potter series but its still well done!In the beginning of the read I needed to tell myself its a script and a play so my mind need to get use on how I am going to imagine the story is going to be like and how the plot will be going straight into it rather than having a few pages story on it.

“From the very beginning— from the first moment, I may almost say— of my acquaintance with you, your manners, impressing me with the fullest belief of your arrogance, your conceit, and your selfish disdain of the feelings of others, were such as to form the groundwork of disapprobation on which succeeding events have built so immovable a dislike; and I had not known you a month before I felt that you were the last man in the world whom I could ever be prevailed on to marry.”

“What's the point of having a voice if you're gonna be silent in those moments you shouldn't be?”
This review might get deep because I feel like there's so much I have to say.
What can I say? This book has so much power and pain in it.
When reading this book, I got anxious and nervous. It crazy how we all kind of knew where the book is going to end up. Because we have seen it, heard it and talk about it. It's something all of the society is aware of.
The characters in the book felt real. Like they were out there somewhere living just like I did. Well to think about it, there are people like Starr's family right now definitely.
Starr character shows many sides of her. Brave, Fear, Confident, Anxious, Lovely, Loyal and more.
She may not be perfect or have her flaws but just like what her mom says, outweigh the good than the bad. So she did just that. Even though she's scared she needs time to speak out. And that speaks out to everybody. We need to realize people who gone through what Starr did or anything that requires them to fight for their right. We need to give them time and space. We can't just go straight into them and ask them all the details immediately. They are humans too, they have feelings. And these people need support and motivation to ease their fear. And that's where Starr's family came in.
I love their family so much I felt like they were mine.
I love this part especially:
“No, Lord,” Daddy says.
“Yes, Lord,” says Momma.
“No, Lord.”
“Yes.”
“No, amen!”
It is true blood is thicker than water.
No matter where life gets you, you can always count on your family.
I laugh, I cry, I laugh and cry harder reading the family scenes.
I love their bonds, their relationships, and not forgetting their jokes.
However sometimes it breaks me a little, in no matter what the family had to go through, they remain strong and never forget to keep on living and move on and see the bright side of life. Which makes me think of the real world. What people have to got through yet never give up. I give so much respects to all of them.
The story has so much power, message, and awareness of the problems in our society today.
I like how the story not only touch only Khalil's situation but also other problems like Starr's friendship with her friends, her boyfriend.
I also like it shows the side on Seven's side of his problems and what he has to go through.
What the family has to go through.
And mainly what Starr has to go through on her own (meaning the battle with herself, dealing with confidence and fear.)
This scenes and situations bring awareness on the side of the story we don't really get to see.
Hence we became more aware and understand.
I am so fortunate to live in a place where I wake up and not afraid to go out of my house.
However, how long will that stay if problems like these somewhere in another place doesn't stop and get solved?
I may not face situations like Starr's face but I will fight by using my voice, bringing awareness and educating myself and others.
All of us can do that. Even if it's a small help.
“looked me in the eye and, said, ' Sometimes you can do everything right and things will still go wrong. The key is to never stop doing right.”
We know how sometimes media put a different picture to the society hence we hate the media on it.
And I'm taking my degree in media. So sometimes it got me thinking. But I say no, I will use my skills to put on what's right. It may not make a major difference but it's still a start.
And that's where the aim of this book is important. WE HAVE OUR VOICE, AND WE NEED TO USE IT.
And maybe we all can start by recommending this book to others.

“When someone's been gone a long time, at first you save up all the things you want to tell them. You try to keep track of everything in your head. But it's like trying to hold on to a fistful of sand: all the little bits slip out of your hands, and then you're just clutching air and grit.”
This is why I love contemporary romance books.
It makes you squeal, make you cringe, make you secret smile while others are staring at you and all the butterflies.
I love that is all cliche, all cutesy, all predictable.
I get the hype on this book.
ITS TOO CUTE.
I LOVE IT.
Like I need it.
I did expect a full on love story but its totally so much more than that.
Firstly, Lara Jean.
As cliche as it sounds but she is me I am her.
I am the scared to fall in love, always dream of the boys I want to date, So clingy to my siblings, Afraid of adventures, dont have too many friends.
I love it.
She has a little bit of everything.
A little bit of introvert, a little sass, a surprise adventurous side of her and all.
The relatioship between the siblings I love it.
I hope I see more of it.
I love Kitty.
She makes me wish I have a little sister.
I want more of her.
Margot is always the annoying sibling older sibling everyone has.
But we got to understand, she has so much on her hands and she has been like the mother to the siblings.
I love the clueless Dad. More of her please.
I definitely team Peter. He is charming!!!
Although Josh is cute but like a bestfriend cute kind of boy I prefer.
I hope things get interesting between Peter and Lara Jean please.
And see more of him and Josh as friends please.
Chris as Lara Jean's friend I get it.
Some people hate her because of her attitude or personality or think she is using Lara Jean.
But I like her.
Everyone's different and she has her ways of showing love and cara to Lara Jean.
She might be you know a crazy friend but she doesn't really force it upon Lara Jean.
She knows the line in the friendship. I love it.
And I hope i see more of the relationship between Lara Jean and herself.
Like what she wants and all.
I feel like I know her but I really don't.

Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell

“The best books... are those that tell you what you know already.”
Is there really a need to explain why this book is just amazingly written in a way that it makes you feel uneasy, paranoid, confused and angry.
And to think how this book was written, Orwell's purpose of it.
It's funny how the world works huh.
“Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.”

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
4.0
“I will have you without armor, Kaz Brekker. Or I will not have you at all.”
I get the hype now. i get why everyone love this book.
Because it is brilliant.
Going from the Grisha trilogy to this is just amazing.
Leigh Bardugo is just an amazing writer.
Grisha trilogy was easy kind of read that is wow but Six of Crows is just like wow on another level.
Like you don't expect it coming after reading the Grisha trilogy.
I love all the characters.
Everyone has their own character, stories, worries, skills and everything.
Kaz....
Omg he is just crazy evil smart isn't he.
What can he not do? What can he not think of?
You feel like you know him but at the same time you dont. I think that's for every character.
I love the way Kaz thinks, the way he use his words and the reason for him to do things.
Like why he didn't so much trust Jesper... we found that out at the end. It was brilliant.
I think every part of the story line was brilliant because the holes we found in the beginning middle or end was always answered later on which makes the storyline more wow and unpredictable.
Inej..
She is one badass Wraith isn't it.
Although she has her own story line, I feel like there's some parts missing which hopefully I will get to it later.
I like that she has a story line with Kaz but it wasn't concentrated that much but at the same time we kind of understand a little bit what is going on.
In this book, I like overall its not really just concentrating on love plotlines but really on the actions of the aim of the book.
Jesper and Wylan.
We all have that kind of friendship.
I love their banter, their team work together.
They both kind of get along with Nina, Inej and Matthias when during a fight or action scene which I love when on normal scene they be at each other's throat.
I want to see more of their friendship together and of course their own stories.
Nina and Matthias.
I feel like these two character we know most of their stories already and they are reaching a point of new beginnings.
All those suspense and all got me at the edge of my seat.
Nina reminds me of Zoya and I love how she was mention.
I want to see Nina back in Ravka please.
I think this book was brilliant because each chapter was different pov of the 6 main characters and nobody was more or less to one another; there's a balance in everyone's storyline hence making everyone interesting and important.
I love the suspense, the thinking the book got me like omg why didnt I think of that, omg yes that plan could work kind of thinking.
Although in the crew honestly you can't trust anyone but at the end of the day you know that everyone is loyal just that everyone has their stories and issues.
I love the inside jokes everyone gives in between actions and planning scenes.
“No Mourners.
No Funerals.”

“Have any of you wondered what I did with all the cash Pekka Rollins gave us?"
"Guns?" asked Jesper.
"Ships?" queried Inej.
"Bombs?" suggested Wylan.
"Political bribes?" offered Nina. They all looked at Matthias. "This is where you tell us how awful we are," she whispered.”
I mean what am I suppose to do now that I'm done with the duology.
This can't be the end right? I need more.
Everyone's story doesn't end here.
There's more to it. IM FRUSTRATED I WANT MORE.
There is no way a person could describe how good this book is.
I love it.
From the first book to the sequel, brilliant.
The pacing of the book was just right.
Every character was so different and nobody was bored.
The relationship between each character is brilliant.
The plans, schemes, suspense just always puts me on edge.
I love how since every character gets a point of view in each chapter, it tells them what they doing currently and brilliantly relate to their past stories.
I find that very interesting to read.
Like you overlap of current and past was amazing.
No story line was hanging in the end, everyone's problems, worries, aims, goals was reach in the end and how it was told is just perfection.
I like how the love lines in this book was told.
Like it was not too much, like not too concentrated on but at the same time it was not too little.
The main aim of the book was to show each character's strength, weakness and their story or character growth, hence the love lines of each character was just told at the right time, right amount and not too cringe, still with humor.
Speaking of the humor, of course I love the humor of the crew.
What is Leigh Bardugo without humor in her books. LOVE IT.
I like how some of the characters in the grisha trilogy was there.
Considering how the book ends, I wonder if you know we can see both world collide.
I SO WANT TO SEE THAT.
I love the story.
I love the books.
I love the characters ( I can't pick which is my fav, probably Jesper and Wylan. Kuwei was so funny at the end... Can we see more of him in the future)
All I can say is... I need more.
P.s Why are this people always eating waffles? Now I want them.
“I would come for you,” he said, and when he saw the wary look she shot him, he said it again. “I would come for you. And if I couldn’t walk, I’d crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we’d fight our way out together—knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that’s what we do. We never stop fighting.”

“Elend: I kind of lost track of time…
Breeze: For two hours?
Elend: There were books involved.”
Reading went through so much hell as I was sick for the first week when I was reading this thats why it took me so long.
OH BOY THIS BOOK DIDN'T DISAPPOINT.
Although the first half of the book was quite slow as compared to the first one.
Its a slow like not bored kind of pace as its to really to understand the things happening in the second half.
In the first half not going to lie, Elend was at the brick of me wanting to strangling him.
He did change thanks to Tindwyl.
I love Tindwyl. Her character is not like crazy focused on but when she does have scene she makes the reader remembers her.
Vin character growth can be seen after like when she realise something.
Its understandable of what she needs to go through as Kel is not there anymore for her to guide her or help her so people kind of depend on her.
But after what happen in the end of the book, I hope her character won't go through like downfall or stress.
Kind of sad the crew was not really as like the first book but we do still them however the humor was less.
During the second half war of the book, the war was so emotional.
We kind of see how the crew felt for each other, the fight and all.
Sazed, I love him but that man is always making me confuse. Need my answers in third book.
I LOVE ORESEUR or whatever his name is.
Please I want more of him back in third book.
Although after what happen.
The introduction of Zane's character was interesting but what happens to me got me like "THATS IT?"
I really wanted more.
I love how in almost all of the chapter Kelsier was mention.
Sometimes in other books its annoying when a dead character keeps popping up but Kel, dude everyone loves him.
I'm always like what will happen if he was alive.
As always I love the narration before every chapter begins, its always so interesting and kind of making us solve the mystery to the puzzle.
But Im still confuse by the mist and the relation to hero of ages and all.
Fear not, I have the third book with me and I WILL BEGIN IT ASAP.
"We're going to do what Kelsier taught us, Vin. We're going to survive."

“Nothing is ever so expensive as what is offered for free.”
I didn't rate this book because I didn't think it was not good.
It was good, but it was just so hard for me to read.
I love historical fiction, but this book was one of the few that was so hard for me to read.
“Death would hurt only for a moment, which was not so bad when one considered how much, and for how long, life hurt.”
