odd creole/slang/jargon writing style, made it hard to read. story was ok but nothing special. I simply didn’t like it, gave off weird vibes in a bad way.

Homoerotic renaissance fantasy of the 16th century. Amazing prose; loved the story! Subplot of the brothers wasn’t satisfying but weird. If you like Shakespeare, this one feels even better.

Man of men - Beowulf the powerful fighter who saved his kin on tour! Helping where and whom he could - though rightfully so - self-assured. Fast paced fantasy classic. Alright to read, somewhat entertaining, not my fave style to be honest. I guess this would still be the most enjoyable translation. Totally readable.

pedophile who adores a little girl and would kill for her. adoration nicely displayed but boring from time to time. not my style at all, a classic which imo doesn’t have to be read at all.

This is how Nesta Archeron became a weapon + her development.
Irritating to me:
Why was there no mating bond??? (in a sense of communicating via bond + feeling each others emotions like the one Feyre and Rhysand have) Odd. I get the "suprise"-moment but it's still off.

very slow-paced, too much about the characters, not enough about the plot itself. stiff! If there's another book, I hope there's more plot.
