Delve into a gripping narrative with "HOTLINE," Inspired by real-life circumstances, this poignant tale resonates with the immigrant experience, offering a profound exploration of resilience and adaptation. The protagonist's journey mirrors the struggles of many immigrants, making it a deeply moving read. Despite occasional repetitive elements, "HOTLINE" remains compelling and thought-provoking. Whether in print or through your headphones, this is a story that lingers in the mind long after the last page is turned.

A gripping tale of the journey taken by the main characters over the years of the German invasion of France during the Second World War.
the coming of age, figuring out themselves in the war struck world around them. The holding on and letting go..of every challenge that life throws at them.
The beautiful emotions, the thought of  the author to create such a beautiful, well researched story with such brave and courageous youth characters who act in the best possible manner in the difficult circumstances in those years which were marked as grueling and torturous in human history that's the crux of the story for me.
There were some parts that felt like a documentary of the above mentioned time period.
Then there were chapters that were intense that made the pace of the story slow.
Overall I really enjoyed the words, the world and the characters created by the author.
As a History enthusiast I would recommend one to read this  award winning book.
P.S. later in the year (Nov 2023) Netflix is bringing a series on the book, which I am looking forward to watch as they have casted Mark Ruffalo in the show.
