I’m giving this 3.5 stars
So many thoughts I don’t even know where to start.
I enjoyed this book, it was a fast read, it was fun, creepy, and had me on the edge of my seat.
The reasons I gave this 3.5 stars is because you didn’t really have a chance to connect with the characters. They were just there and then everything happened and then the book was over, there wasn’t really any background of them and who they are. The other reason is the plot, I get it was going to be rushed because it’s only 247 pages long but a lot more could of been added. I feel like it left me asking questions at the end instead of tying everything up.
But overall I did enjoy this book, i found it pretty creepy in parts and couldn’t read it in bed for fear of nightmares. The plot was imaginative and unique.
If you want something fun, a little peculiar and fast then I would recommend this book.

Again I loved this book!
The only downside for me was Simon being so whiny, he put me off wanting to read this book that I found it hard to pick up.
But other than that I loved it all, the action, the writing, the world and the characters (apart from Simon) 😊

Well...
The beginning of this book was hot, interesting even. Then it all went downhill and I struggled to even want to pick it up.

Where do I begin?
I started this book as a buddy read with my 2 besties as we received it in our March FairyLoot boxes. It has the most stunning cover, but that’s all it has going for it I’m afraid...
The only good thing about this book was that it was a fast read, meaning it was over faster.
While I admit I couldn’t put the book down because I wanted to find out what happened next (the only reason for 1 star is because I couldn’t put it down, otherwise I wouldn’t of rated it), I just couldn’t wait for it to end...
The beginning was confusing with all the place names being similar and so many character names being introduced at the same time.
The story was boring and based around politics.
The characters were boring and I felt no connection at all to them.
The writing was just dull and I found a few grammatical errors which made some sentences not even make sense.
It was predictable and boring and confusing.
If anyone can find a way for me to get back the 2 days I wasted reading this, please let me know.

Another great book in the shadowhunter series!
I’m really enjoying these books, I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to spoil people but THAT BOMBSHELL!! (Even though I already knew because of the tv series 😂)
Can’t wait to start Clockwork Angel next month 😍

What did I just read?! Like....what? I can’t even.....
it was a bit confusing in parts and I wasn’t really a fan of the style of writing but I did enjoy it. And I’m guessing the author likes the colour green as pretty much everything was described as being green 🙊 which is fine with me, it’s one of my favourite colours.
And that ending?! What just happened?!

My god what a boring book...I’ve just finished it and I feel like I want to rip my eyes out.
I just didn’t like it at all.
I didn’t like the names, the writing, the story...it was confusing and just dull.
The characters were boring and I didn’t feel any connection to them.
I hated the amount of abuse towards women.
I really struggled with this one and struggled to want to pick it up. And when I did pick it up I mostly skim read until the parts were people spoke because I just couldn’t stand the writing style.
The only good thing was the last 2 chapters which I enjoyed. The rest of it I hated.
At least the cover is pretty I guess 😊

Holy fins! I’ve just finished this book and it was Mer-mazing...get it?! 🙈😂
Anyway moving swiftly on...
Sometimes when books get so much hype and I read them I’m like ‘whut? I don’t get the hype’. Not once, while reading this beautiful book was I like that!
This book was everything that I hoped it would be and more.
• The world building was incredible, it reminded me a lot of Daughter of the Pirate King which I loved! Everything was well described and at times I could actually imagine how things looked even though obviously I was reading it instead of seeing it.
• The characters were loveable and I felt a real connection with each of them. The character development in this book is amazing! Each character has their own story and personal issues and dreams, I like how they didn’t follow the paths that were set out for them in the beginning and they did everything possible to change the way the world is and create a new one where Sirens and Humans can be at peace with each other.
• The story was fast paced and action packed. And I really really enjoyed the plot. It all just seemed to flow together seamlessly from chapter to chapter even though it changed POVs.
• There was so much witty banter thrown in aswell for good measure, along with the sarcastic throw backs there was even some flirting going on which I for one didn’t even expect! 😍
• The writing was so beautiful, it does have 2 POVs and I know some people don’t like that or get confused (I’m usually the one that gets confused), but with this book I knew exactly who’s POV it was by the way it was written so no confusion for me 😁
• The ‘relationships’ in this book were amazingly written and I have a new OTP I think, the characters all go so well with each other, you can’t help but ship them to be honest. The only ‘relationship’ I didn’t like was that of Sea Queen & Lira. As someone who loves her mother very much I could imagine how heartbroken I would be if my mother decided, like the Sea Queen, to not only not love me but to use me as a weapon for her own gains. I am so happy that Lira was strong enough to do what she had to do to ensure that doesn’t happen anymore.
I can honestly say this is one of my favourite reads this year and I’m so blessed to have been able to buy it. If you don’t already own a copy of this book WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Go out and get it. Or order it on amazon, or book depository. Right now. Go on! 🙊
Overall I LOVE this book. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

I didn’t think it could get any better than Stalking Jack The Ripper but.....HOLY VAMPIRE BATS!! 🦇
This book had everything you’d expect!
Twists and turns, blood, dead bodies, romance, dark creepy vibes...
I can’t even tell you how much I couldn’t put this book down.
The writing was incredible, the characters were incredible, I even loved each of the new characters and the roles they played. It was all portrayed perfectly and I’m pretty sure I’ve found a new favourite author.
If you read my review for Stalking Jack The Ripper you’ll remember how much I loved Audrey Rose & Thomas as partners and as a potential couple. This book has only increased my love for them both individually and together. Thomas is just such a gentleman and Audrey Rose is a badass female character 😍
I loved the fresh new environment for this book, how everything was described made me feel like I was in the book with Audrey & Thomas, although I am sure as hell glad I wasn’t!!
And that ending though!!! Oh my god...I NEVER would of imagined that.
Another 5⭐️ read which I think deserves more than 5⭐️!

I’ve just finished this book and holy batman...I’m speechless right now.
I’ve heard so many good things about this book and was a little nervous about reading it incase it didn’t live up to the hype for me. I need not have been nervous at all.
I’ve always been fascinated with watching tv shows about Jack The Ripper and many detective programmes, so when I saw this book on bookstagram I had to have it, plus the cover is stunning, what more could a bookworm want?!
This book is incredible, the plot although based on the real events and fictional ending was amazing, it was gripping and always had you second guessing who you thought Jack really was. I completely guessed wrong, I’ll admit. But towards the end I kind of figured it out but I didn’t say anything due to buddy reading this with my best friend.
I’m in love with Thomas Cresswell and Audrey Rose - as individuals and as a potential couple. They work so well together as characters and as partners in solving crimes. I also love the slow burn romance I can see happening, I’m glad they aren’t instantly falling in love with each other and head over heels, I think it was done perfectly and matched the way the book was going.
I loved the amount of detail, although I wouldn’t recommend eating while reading, but everything was just perfect and I love the way the plot went and how it finished.
I’m looking forward to starting Hunting Prince Dracula immediately, and can’t wait to see more of Thomas and Audrey 😍
One of my favourite reads this year for sure, I wish I can give it more than 5⭐️
