I didn't remember the story of Psyche and Eros before I started reading this book and it was interesting. I enjoyed the telling of it and while I agree with some other reviewers that it was flowery, I actually thought that worked well considering the subjects. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was a quick read. I'd give it 3.5 stars rounded up and would read more from this author.

I enjoyed this book so much! It was fun and light and not overly angsty. Low drama and high reward with the two MCs acting like real grown ups most of the time. It was refreshing! I am so excited for the second book!

If you’re looking for an over the top story about people who aren’t really likable, mostly living above their means, and constantly trying to outdo each other, this book is it. It is cringy at times and ridiculous at others, but always eye roll inducing. It’s well written and would be a good beach read. Overall, I give it 3.25 stars because I just didn’t care about any of the characters; they were all equally awful (except Mel’s husband). I would read another book by this author, though!
