I'm not sure how, but although there was always something going on plot wise, it still felt as if, throughout the book, nothing was actually happening.

I don't know if we were actually meant to like any of the characters but I found them all pretty repulsive.

The idea of the plot was interesting but for me, I didn't clique with the story at all.

Thank you so much for providing me with an ARC.

I kid you not, I ate this s**t up like a vampire in a feeding frenzy.

This read flew in and I feel that even if it had been 300 pages, I would have wanted to read it all at once.

The characters are not the goody goody type you tend to get when it comes to vampire stories written in the last 2 decades or so.

This story was lighthearted and dark at the same time, a fun combo. I honestly would love to read more about these two.

I am very grateful for being provided with an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) of this book.

After finishing this book, I thought to myself, "Wow, I need to sit down!"

Then I realised that I was, in fact, sitting down and turned instead to laying down.

You know when you start reading a book and the first sentence in, you know it's going to be good? That is exactly what happened with The Timeless Trials.

I recall reading the blurb and worrying it would be a carbon copy of the likes of The Hunger Games. While you can tell inspiration was drawn from it, the author really made this book something unique.

I'm so impressed that this is A.C. Guess' debut novel as the level of skill in her writing was amazing. I was enraptured with the characters, both the good and bad ones. The side characters weren't just added for the sake of it. They all added an extra little something to both the plot and the story itself.

I found myself nearly screaming at my screen as the story progressed. Rae is such a well written character that it felt as if I was experiencing everything alongside her.

I love the concept of time being such a commodity. It even had me thinking of how our current society would deal with time being so carelessly given or taken away from us.

Forbidden romance, loyalty to family and friends, threats from many sources... Add to all of that; dragons, and I am 100% invested in what happens next.

Because let's face it, that ending has us all hooked for more and I personally cannot wait for the next one.

With this, I expected the clichéd supernatural type story or a bad version of the TV show Supernatural (which is one of my favourite shows)

At first, I struggled sightly in understanding the characters' dialect but after 50 or so pages, I had no issues with it.

There were, of course, elements in this book that I was already aware of thanks to rewatching SPN many times. So, in that sense, the functionality of defeating the "bad guys" wasn't necessarily anything new but that's something that is pretty universal in the supernatural world.

What did impress me is a book set somewhere I haven't experienced before with a culture I know very little about and even a creature that I wasn't aware of.

The bond between Alister and James gave me Sam and Dean vibes, which I'm definitely here for and all of the characters brought something to the table.

The story itself I really enjoyed and I look forward to reading more of these books.

This was a cute insta love story set in sunny Florida.

While I did like the story, it didn't feel complete. Perhaps if the book had been a bit longer, it would have been better but I think it needed a bit more development to fully engage the reader.

The writing style was slightly awkward, so it didn't flow well but I definitely think there is a lot of pontentional here. The descriptions of people and of the settings were good, so I think with some more practice, the author could really give us something special.

I hope Savannah continues to write and I look forward to seeing more from her.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Found this book hard to put down, I just wanted to keep reading it and find out what was going on.

As others have said, that ending???

4.5 stars as I think the story dragged in the middle slightly.

I did really enjoy the plot and the many characters that were involved in the story.

Reacher is definitely someone you do not want to mess with.
