Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely

Did not finish book. Stopped at 36%.
DNF 36% in.

I didn’t realize that the human behavior discussed was going to be almost exclusively through a business/capitalistic lens. I still gave it a chance but ultimately found it boring.

The audiobook has music in between captures which definitely makes it feel more like an education program rather than a book.

Lastly, the studies and takeaways that I did read didn’t really impress me and I don’t think the author did very well making a case for causality rather than correlation. Not enough to make me truly believe his conclusions were accurate.

Not my favorite couple from the duskwalker universe but I loved learning more lore and about the elves. Still a very solid and entertaining addition to the series.

A really creative and 🌀twisty🌀 story about a town cursed by spirals.

Shuichi may have been an odd ball and was definitely going through some shit but he always had Kirie back.

A really quick and entertaining read. It’s a series of connecting short stories, but I would’ve liked more of an overarching story throughout. Great art and visuals.

Well written, but boring. I know sometimes thrillers need time to plant their roots for a wild and twisty finale but I never felt captured by the stories.

A short and sexy read about our dearest Cinnamon and Fallon. A little spooky and a lot of fun!

This story was cute and Alexis made me laugh out loud. The pacing was way too fast, and while I am aware that this was only 60 pages, I think it had good bones and would’ve been great as a fuller book.

So adorable. Sawako is so sincere and endearing and I loved watching her make friends and build relationships in high school! She and Shota were so sweet and adorable together, too.

One of the most mediocre books I’ve ever read. Torn between a 2 and a 2.5. This books makes me think I could successfully be an author.

All of the tropes and character types used were very by the book, there was just nothing particularly likable. And holy smokes was this book way too long. A lot could’ve been cut.

At the end of the day I did read it quick enough and there were some very cute moments. It’s not that I hated it but there are an endless number of way better romance novels.

You’d probably love this if you were in high school or new to the genre (not an insult).
