Bill Bryson's book is an absolute gem! The way he weaves together humour and insight is just fantastic. Reading it in 2024, I couldn't help but chuckle at the references to my childhood - it's both eerie and entertaining. Bryson's free-flowing, stream-of-consciousness style in this book drew me in, although I did find some chapters a bit scattered. Overall, it's another stroke of brilliance from Bryson, and I can't wait to revisit it in the future.

I really wanted to love this book but the slow start and rushed ending ruined it a bit. While I did love how the novel really dived into the world of online conspiracies, I found that the jumps between the online world and the other characters just felt forced. It was a good book but it’s not one I would ever rush to reread.

Damn, I rarely cry while reading and this one made me tear up a bit. The characters were so relatable. As someone who never really loves cheesy romance novels, this one might have convinced me they aren’t all that bad.
