What happens?
Alena is trying to divorce her husband so she can keep her bakery out of the hands of him and out of the hands of a rival. The court won't acknowledge her because she is technically dead.

She also has a new hero to defeat thanks to Hera. Theseus is not like the last hero she managed to defeat. Theseus is controlled and likes to turn people against her like Beth.
Final thoughts
This was action packed like most of this author's books. I wasn't disappointed in the story I was getting frustrated at the divorce parts. I mean how does she get so many court hearings!! However its a good story and I enjoyed the read.

I marked this title DNF after reading 5 chapters. The same issues I had with book one were front and center in FANGS & FENNEL and I can't make myself read when a grown woman says things like 'poopie list' in a sentence. The main character comes off kick ass and strong in one paragraph then turns into a whiny 2 year old in the next. I can't imagine a scenario where I find myself reading any more from this series.

And book 2? Worth it!

I was a little concerned because book 1 started a little slow for me and it took a bit for me to really get into it. But with book 2, we jump right into the story. it was perfect. And well written.

Greek gods and monsters!!! Can it get any better???

This book is snarky and fun with plenty of adventure, a great growth arc for the heroine, a fast pace, and a diverse cast of monsters and heroes with interesting motives and allegiances. There’s plenty of romantic heat, but no graphic sex—which I appreciate because that is so difficult to find in a paranormal romance. I highly recommend this book, especially for readers who love paranormal romance with well-placed comic relief and sexual tension and romantic heat, but don’t want the plot’s forward motion devolving into short breaks between sex scenes, as is often the case in paranormal romance. I’m excited to dive into book 3! Highly recommended.

This is the second book in the Venom Trilogy!

This book was Awesome... I am loving Alena more and more....

Kinda sad that there is only one more book... maybe this trilogy should turn into a never ending series.

YaYa cracks me up, Love her!!!

Hints of Exciting things coming in the next book, Hisses and Honey!!! Cannot Wait...

I enjoyed this dip into Alena's world more than the first in the series - maybe the world is already set so we didn't have to focus on that as much? I enjoyed the interaction with yaya in particular - I really would love to hear her story, and get more about her past with Zeus. I look forward to #3.
