When Olivia's poor body image (caused by some very negative and intentionally hurtful comments from her ex-husband), gets in her way of believing Beckett's feelings for her, he works that much harder to prove he's the one for her...and the one who won't let her kids down.
Cute story. Beckett is a total golden retriever which is exactly what Liv needed. Her ex-husband is a total douche canoe but thankfully isn't too big of a role in this book. I loved that Beckett dove in with both feet not second-guessing what needed to happen to be with her.
I love her friends, but Delia needs to lighten up at some point. I'll be interested to see more into her backstory cause she is a man-hater and there HAS to be a reason why. We love women supporting women though, so we can't be too mad at her.

I love this book! I read this series in 2024 and wanted to reread it this year and I honestly think I like it even more the second time around because I was even more invested in the other moms because I knew their stories. Especially DELIA!!! LOVE DELIA!! One thing I really love about this series in general is watching each of the male main characters bond with the family as a whole as well as his smaller chunk of the family with a mom and her kid or children. Seeing those larger connections as well as the tight knit ones adds a lot to their character. Also, these women together make no sense, and I love them so much for it. They are all so fundamentally different with the way they live their life and the way they raise their kids, but there's something about them coming together that just creates such a beautiful family. Now, BECKETT!! I love how down bad Beckett is from the beginning. Like from the jump, he is so into her I'm so here for it!! And as he should be because Liv is amazing, but seeing his acts of service and the way that he cares about not just Liv but her kids and her friends and their kids and this was a really nice introduction into their family and I can’t wait to reread the rest!

I'm reading the Langfield brother's books out of order. Those boys are all amazing and I can't pick a favorite.
“He isn’t just trying to win over me and my kids. He’s a genuinely good guy. And that is so much more dangerous for my heart.”
OH-MY-LANTA!! I loved Mother Faker! The moms are an imperfectly perfect team of amazing, hot mess, wholly relatable women doing their best for their kids and their squad. Mother Faker is book one in the four author Momcoms series and I’m obsessed! With a Fuller House inspired premise, Mother Faker introduces Olivia Maxwell and her three besties living in a Brownstone fixer-upper with their brood of children. Beckett Langfield is a no-nonsense, handsome, billionaire curmudgeon whose public image needs a boost. Liv is the recently divorced, single mom, PR manager who puts up with Beckett’s grumpiness daily. Little do either of them know that Liv, her kids, and their crazy momcom are the keys to unveiling Beckett’s nurturing side. I adore Brittanee’s spin on the fake marriage, workplace, Vegas wedding, single mom tropes. Beckett and Liv have off-the-charts scorching chemistry and Beckett’s dirty talking is top tier! Mother Faker is a funny, charming, witty, and heartwarming love story. Beckett Langfield is a big ol’ cinnamon roll whose protective “my wife” growls skyrocketed him to book husband status. Brittanee Nicole knocked it out of the park with Mother Faker; she laid a fantastic foundation for the Momcoms world. From the dynamics between the moms, to the witty banter, to the kid antics, and the smoldering romance, I loved this book from cover to cover! Oof, did I mention Beckett forking Langfield is a ducking alpharoll?! Seriously, my favorite treat. I can’t wait for more adventures with the momcom family!

Liv works for the Langford Corporation as the head of PR for the baseball team, Boston Revs. The company also owns the hockey team, the Boston Bolts. While she doesn't only work for Beckett, the owner of the Boston Revs, he seems to monopolize most of her time while at work. He's grouchy and demands a lot of her.
Liv and her husband, Drake, have a nanny to help with their kids. Apparently Drake has been utilizing the nanny for other things and soon Liv finds herself getting a divorce. When she tells her 3 best friends, they all come together as one family unit and move into one house together. All 4 women have kids so it's an insanely busy household, but it works for them.
Beckett is (semi) happily living the single life until his father tells him he won't fully sign over the baseball team until Beckett is married and known as a family man. Beckett has no intention of being the family guy, but is willing to fake it for the time being. He just needs to find someone to play along. When his brother suggests Liv, Beckett shuts it down. Not only does she work for him, she's married. Beckett had no idea Liv was going through a divorce and moved into a house with 3 other women and their kids.
After Beckett thinks about what he needs to do, he finds himself in Vegas with Liv and suddenly proposing the idea of a marriage of convenience. Liv is flabbergasted by the idea. Until she wakes up the next morning, hung over and married to her boss.
Beckett truly knows nothing about Liv except what she shows him at work, which isn't a lot. He's never seemed interested in anything that has to do with her personal life so she's always kept it outside his office. Imagine his surprise when he arrives at her house and meets the circus that lives within.
I loved this book and watching Beckett fall for Liv while her impression of him changes. She gets him to melt the ice around his heart while she learns to trust again.

Couldn’t get past the prologue. Characters were too annoying.
