Perhaps the best depiction of the world, where insanity prevails sanity. Certainly, the most chilling take on one of the most prominent criminal mind of the DC universe, the Joker. The dark sketches by Alan Moore invites you to the world where one man embraces the insanity, welcomes the anarchy and the other tries everything in his power to be on the right side, and make the world a better place (or is it, can't be sure).
Surely one the most dark and brilliant graphic novel that I have read.
"“All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day.”
― Alan Moore, Batman: The Killing Joke"

A reread.
This time - I was left with just this revulsion of the Joker character. This perfect, utter revulsion. One of those rare instances where the more you understand, the less you sympathize. (Even granted the theory that the Joker's history in here is a delusion/lie.) I doubt I could be that merciful in the end - so it's probably best that I'm not the Caped Crusader, innit?

Really glad I finally read the graphic novel! I love the movie, so I'd been looking forward to reading the novel! I just missed some of the background info we got at the beginning of the film. But overall, good story and I'd recommend it to any Batman/Joker fan.
maybe the only superhero comic book i have ever read? this one was on a whim from the wife's side of the bookshelf. darker and more twisted than expected! C+
READ THIS BOOK! One of the best Batman and Joker stories ever. This actually gives you a good overview for how crazy the Joker really is. Very disturbing, but fantastic. Well written, great artwork, inking, and lettering. I actually bought the physical copy of this book because it is a book to read and have in the collection.

It’s rare for someone to write a piece of non-cannon content that becomes cannon but Alan Moore managed to. Arguably the most famous Joker and Batman story ever, The Killing Joke is a mandatory read for any Batman fan. A great dive into arguably the most famous hero/villain dynamic in all of history. Only downside is the unnecessary violence that some “fans” seem to get too excited about

Easily the best DC comic I've read, the Joker is such a cool villain.
A. Moore at his best. Deep, rich, and conflicting. The K Joke provides an insight into one of comic books most iconic character and villain. Batman v. Joker. Interesting stuff.
