It was really intriguing, and I felt like I was part of it, a character in the story

Waited so long for it! And finished after two days already. Now another year waiting for the next one...
I like the book, but there's a bit much politics and the events just feel TOO REAL right now!

The themes and mood got a little darker, and it's more like thought-provoking than a light-hearted children fantasy adventure.
In my opinion the plot and storyline are not as good as the previous books, but it's more about the writing style that grips you hard. I love the language, the 'oofmp' at first at the thrill of reading it, then again when you wonder how the writer arrange those words in such a profound, heartfelt way. The language, structure itself just make you want to read on. The realisations and twists are, I think, quite surprising! The emotions are nicely, subtly done too, giving the characters more depth, though I've hoped for a bit more involvement for Hawthorne!

A twisty and sweet end to a fun YA trilogy (which is getting book 4 next year!). I really liked Morrigan and her found family.

This book is amazing. Wundersmith was fantastic, but this is even better. The writing is so good and clever. I really liked the way characters from the earlier books were mentioned in this one. I love the characters and I really felt for them. After finishing this book I felt hollow. The ending made me cry. I'm super excited for Silverborn!!! There is a fair chance this will be the best book I read this year and it's only January. 9.86 on CAWPILE TW// Pandemic, death, murder

In 2015, Stephen Hawking (as a 3D hologram) was asked what the cosmological effects of Zayn leaving One Direction were, to which he replied: “Finally, a question about something important. My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics. Because one day there may very well be proof of multiple universes. It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another different universe, and in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction. This girl may like to know that in another possible universe, she and Zayn are happily married.”

I think about this once-in-a-generation mind giving reverence to a young person's emotions and anxieties all the time, and I have gotten that same warm feeling over, and over, and over again reading these books. Magic and science and humor and love are everywhere and I am so grateful that I live in a universe in which I get to read these stories and share them with young people.

Spoiler“I bet they love him more than you think. And if they don’t now, they will. When they get older and smarter, they’ll know who he belonged to, even if they don’t know they know. That’s how it works with friends like [stuffies], who have been so dearly loved. They wear that love like an invisible coat. It never comes off, it’s always there, and in the quiet moments, you can feel it. Wolfram and Guntram will feel it one day." Jupiter North is so Stephen Hawking coded.

I love the characters and am invested in the story, but it dragged in places.

Excuse me Ms. Townsend, are you a psychic? There's no other explanation for how accurate this book is to what's going on across the globe. Of course there are differences but Hollowpox made me feel the way 2020 has. It didn't stop surprising me.

I enjoyed that Morrigan felt older as a character making slightly more decisive choices and I believe that this third book is the culmination of the confidence we've seen her build over the last books. The way Townsend wrote Morrigan's classes on Sub 9 made perfect sense to the rules she has made for this world. There were no other LIVING Wundersmiths to teach her so naturally there had to be a loophole and it is so well executed. We also see the consideration of others that has always been present in this child is developing as she grows into a teenager.

I have nothing negative to say about this book, I fight every day not to start the audiobook again in favor of fresh reads. I finished this book a few weeks ago and am still experiencing this issue. I will probably read everything Jessica Townsend writes from now until the end of days (is that book four Jessica you can tell me).
