I just can’t get enough of these psychopaths! Asa and Zane are definitely my second favourite couple, a very close second to Adam and Noah. Or maybe a tie. But the way Asa cares for Zane just made my heart happy. Also the fastest moving couple of the Mulvaney brothers but it doesn’t matter cause I loved every moment of it. The bad guys in this story were also horrible and I’m always just a little bit shocked at how horrible the bad guys are.

I love this book. The writing was good and the characters were relatable at same level. It was quite funny and it kept me going because i needed answers. I love the family dynamics and the way they introduce Zane in them.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Format: ebook

Asa and Zane, damn. I’ll be honest and say that this was the book I was least excited for, and it completely proved me wrong. I absolutely adored everything about this couple.

Firstly, getting to see Dimitri and Arlo again made my heart happy. I don’t care, I loved that novella so much. And then Asa just completely shocked me. I literally didn’t care about him all that much in the other books. I was even more interested in Avi because of Jericho’s brother. But he might actually be behind Adam in best Mulvaney boyfriend.

The way they met, and the way Zane found out about the Mulvaney family was brilliant. I loved their little lovers to enemies back to lovers thing going on. Zane made Asa work for it and he did. I also really enjoyed the plot for this book. I think the story of what happened to Zane’s brother caused the most visceral reaction in me out of all the books in this series. And the endings for the villains were just so satisfying.

The spice continues to be amazing. I thought it would be repetitive at this point but it really isn’t. Every couple has such a unique dynamic and I love being able to see it in every single book. I love the way they continue to love each other and be a supportive family to everyone, and I love just getting to see everyone again and again. It’s like visiting friends.

I love this series so much, I don’t even know what I’m going to do once I finish. Thankfully I still have three books left.

Current ranking:
1. Unhinged: Adam & Noah (5 ⭐️)
2. Headcase: Asa & Zane (5 ⭐️)
3. Moonstruck: Atticus & Jericho (5 ⭐️)
4. Psycho: August & Lucas (5 ⭐️)
5. Damaged: Dimitri & Arlo (5 ⭐️)

It took until this book for me to realize a writing pattern. I remember stating when I reviewed book 2 that I feel the author should give more time to the romance but now I take it back. These boys are psychopaths, they can’t love, feel remorse or guilt so investing an amount of time in the mysteries that follows their stories is how they show their own form of love to their partners. If you get that, you’ll understand the lack of time allotted to your average “romance”.

I appreciate Good primal play/degradation kink

Loved!

I cannot say enough amazing words to describe this series. Except I never thought I would love reading about murdering psychopaths as much as I do. Asa and Zane's story was fast-paced, packed with action and a lot of steam! Zane had a very high level clue of what being a Mulvaney might be but he didn't truly understand until he jumped/pushed in by this crazy family. Highly recommended. Check your triggers!

Yessss, this was exactly as amazing as I expected and hoped it would be. I've been looking forward to reading the twins' books and I loved this. Asa and Zane are so fucking good together, it's not even funny. Definitely a power couple by the end.

Also, it might feel like the book spoils the fact that Felix and Avi will get together, but hah, if you've read this book and book 3, Moonstruck, you know it's really inevitable. Still, can't wait to read HOW it happens in the next one! I also suspect things are headed into a certain direction with this foursome and I honestly hope I'm right because YES PLEASE.

Ugh, I love these books so much, it's not even funny.
