I just can’t get enough of these psychopaths! Asa and Zane are definitely my second favourite couple, a very close second to Adam and Noah. Or maybe a tie. But the way Asa cares for Zane just made my heart happy. Also the fastest moving couple of the Mulvaney brothers but it doesn’t matter cause I loved every moment of it. The bad guys in this story were also horrible and I’m always just a little bit shocked at how horrible the bad guys are.

I liked the couple's dynamic and the injustice they fight against, but something about this book just isn't as strong for me. Also, why are we saying "we will unalive them" when they are murderers and torturers? It's such a weird thing. Unalive just took me right out, but I guess I don't understand the shift towards using that word instead of killed, especially in this context with darker material. Saying kill/ed can't be as bad as torture/d, assault/ed, or all the stuff about children.

This one wasn't my favorite. For as much as they talked about the twins, I needed them to be in the same book. I suspect their books are happening nearly at the same time but I would have loved a little more interaction between the two of them. I adore how pumped these folks get to dispatch someone. Avi has a bucket list of ways he wants to scratch people off and it's morbidly hilarious.

Zane and Asa were pretty perfect for each other considering their courtship was almost entirely kidnapping and Stockholm Syndrome. Will I be reading the rest of the series though, you betcha.
