I have them rated the same way, but I think Dark River is just a smidge better than its predecessor-- there's less ableism (it's still there, but it's not as prominent), Lionpaw actually has something to do, and there's more discernable plot, even if part of what instigates it is such a stupid conflict that it borders on hilarity.
J'ai mis du temps à le finir ! Mais je suis enfin sortie d'une longueeee panne de lecture, je suis trop heureuse !!

i am DEEP in a reading slump. normally these books help me get out of slumps but meh, I'm struggling still. This was alright. I thought I remembered REALLY liking this one, but not much happened
Fairly compelling theme this time. 3 main characters are really trying to figure out who they are and what’s right. It’s reminiscent of Firestar’s plot arc in saga one.
I don't know what to say, this one dragged for me. It also had quite a few errors in my print, and that always puts me right out of a story.
4.5 stars!
I really enjoyed seeing Jaypaw grow more comfortable with using his abilities/being a medicine cat, and I was glad that Lionpaw had so many chapters focusing on him. I didn't particularly like Hollypaw's sections though. I get that they're trying to show how blindly she follows the warrior code, but I wish there was better development behind why she clings to the code so much.
