This is right up there with the best of the New Canon graphic novels. Absolutely nails Han Solo. A must read.

An entertain romp. Han Solo, enlisted by Princess Leia and the Rebels, enters a televised galactic race (cough* cough* Hunger Games cough*) with the Millennium Falcon in attempt to pick up rebel operatives on remote planets used as fueling stations. While I thought this story line to be a little corny and convoluted at first glance, a few characters including Loo Re Anno really actually helped to drive home an emotional story arc that follows Han and Leia's relationship: the need for family and community. This graphic novel does a good of giving us a glimpse into Han's struggle between smuggling and fighting for the rebellion and how he struggles with morality. The events of the storyline really has a significant impact on Solo as he wrestled with whether or not to become officially a part of the rebellion, for this reason alone the story is worthwhile. It is not the best Marvel Star Wars comic to come out (Jason Aaron is writing those stories) but an insightful leisure read none the less.

Gets pretty weird but is consistently entertaining and pretty. Some really fascinating one-shot characters/species and fills in some of the IV-V gap nicely.

How about I take this volume apart and tape the pages all over my wall?

I was surprised how much I liked this one... these Marvel/Disney Star Wars comics have overall been pretty good, but the Han Solo arc is really solid.

A fun read involving a race, deception, and Han turning into more and more of a good guy.

This may be the most Star Trek that Star Wars has been. There were plenty of familiar creatures and some new, but what was interesting was the use of alternate dimensions and wormholes. That isn't common in Star Wars. They didn't take it too far, but it is certainly out of formula and I have traversed much of the new canon.

This is another book that I read for school so I don't really feel the need to rate it. I have never watched a Star Wars movie so this was interesting. I probably didn't get some of the references to the movies, but the illustrations were stunning and I had a fun time reading it.
