Im not even sure what to say about this book other than I need the next one right now! As it started off it felt predictable. I was willing to give it a chance but wasn't sure I'd follow through with the series... nope not predictable! Now I must find out what happens!

I'm going to be honest with from the very beginning, I do not like angel books. I just don't! Some people don't read/like fairy books, its the same thing with me except with angels. So, needless to say, I was hesitant to read this, but I was hearing good things from other people so I gave it a shot. It only took me a few pages to fall madly in love with this story!

Clara is an angel-blood and all angel-blood's are born with a Purpose that they must fulfill. When Clara starts having visions of her Purpose her mom moves her whole family to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where it is supposed to take place. Now Clara is faced with not only her Angelic Purpose but being the new girl.

Everything comes together to make this a fantastic, five star book. Everything! Clara was a great protagonist. She was level headed, smart and interesting. Her family dynamic was something that you don't see a lot in YA especially in fantasy YA, a very involved family. Clara's mother and brother are angel-blood's too so they are fairly close. That's something that we don't see enough of in YA!

Now on to the topic I want to talk more about....Tucker. *sigh* Prepare to add a new boy to your 'Fictional Boys I Love' list, because Tucker is going to steal your heart away. Anytime he was in a scene I found myself grinning with swoony love. So, read this book for Tucker if nothing else. There is the inkling of a triangle, but all I have to say to that is, Christian who?

Cynthia Hand has definitely created a new breed of angels and I don't think you will be disappointed with them. I can't wait to explore their powers further. I urge you to read this book! Everything about it is amazing, the characters, the setting, the love interests, the entire premise! Read it!

Amazing. Unearthly is truly captivating.

A well-defined introduction that unravels flawlessly around the main plot. Where in Clara moves out with her family to find the guy in her purpose. The secrecy and protectiveness of her mother, that careless attitude of her brother, her best friends; one jealous of the other, and one worthy of suspicion. And two boys likely of each other.

A romantic twist, daring but not obvious. Unearthly is one of the most beautiful and angelic stories I ever read. The ending defies it all.

I think this is my second book with angels, the first being Angelfall. I thought this was a great read. The pace of the book was slow until the 70% mark, then it got more suspenseful and intense. However, I thought there could have been more done for the plot. The characters were great to read. I thought the concept was great. Also, I thought that it was great to see the romance develop slowly. Overall, a great read, but could have been better.

Unearthly is about a teenage girl called Clara. However, Clara isn't a normal girl, She is part angel. And she has been having vision of her "Purpose" as an angel. This see her and her family (her mum and brother) move Wyoming so she can fulful her purpose. However, this don't go smoothly got Clara and soon she is faced with a terrible choice. Fulfill her purpose or save the boy the she loves?

First I want to just mention this books cover! How freaking pretty is that? I mean its stunning. I think its fits really well with the story. Clara all white which is how I picture her when she does her glowing Glory thing. And standing in the forest is massive to plot. The cover just has a very ethereal feel to it.

Unearthly is one of those stories that you just lose all sense of time reading. For me, it was the relationship between the characters that I found to entertaining that I just couldnt put this down. Clara is just super cute! She really is a fantastic main character. She is one of those characters that you can imagine being friends with her. When she moves to Wyoming she quickly becomes friends with Wendy and then Angela. Both these characters are total opposite from one another but when reading the story its easy to see why Clara is friends with both.

Now the reason Clara moves to Wyoming is to fulfill her purpose as an angel. Her purpose is involves Christian the hottest boy in school and Clara of course like any girl would is drooling over him. They becomes close but Christian has to go away for the summer. Enter Tucker! Wendys brother. oh Tucker! From the moment Clara arrived in Wyoming Tucker and Clara show a dislike to one another. Soon though after Tucker is roped into being Clara's birthday present from Wendy they start to form this undeniable connection. And honestly one of the cutest book couples ever!! I love them. I love Tucker!

For me the story plays second to the characters. But what an awesome story line. There is never a dull moment in this book. Its full of supense slowing building up to the tough choice Clara has to make. The romance in this story is one the gradually develops making the story that more believable.

What a fantastic, gripping and cute book Unearthly is. Its such a refreshing tale of angels. Angels have completely blown up on the YA market just now and this book its honestly one of my faves. I dont have a bad word to say about this book. Cynthia has created something that is so good and literally leave you begging for more

When UNEARTHLY came out, and even before, everyone in the blogosphere knew about it. The reviews ended up being as wonderful as the cover and I was anxious to pick it up and see what everyone was raving about.

It seems that more and more books about angels are starting to come out, and thankfully many of them have used different approaches. Cynthia Hand's view of angels was fresh and unique. I loved how she created this teenage girl who was part angel. It's great because most books have a teenage girl who falls in love with in angel.

The whole plot of UNEARTHLY was unique and kept me guessing at times. Sometimes though I found myself bored. I wish there had been more mystery or just more going on in in general.

As for Clara, she didn't really interest me, but she wasn't a bad protagonist either. The other characters were merely okay to me, and I didn't feel truly connected with any of them. I hope that in future books they grow as characters and on me.

Overall this book was a great and fresh idea, but it fell a bit flat for me. This review isn't long because I honestly don't know what else to write about it: the plot idea was great, but the way it was played out wasn't that great. Cynthia Hand and this series have a lot of potential though, so I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
