This is a sister novel with desperation and part of the scenic route of the dark tower, which is why I picked it up.
Desperation and regulators take place in alternate universes with each other. The same characters show up in different circumstances. In this book a paper boy is shot by someone in a red van and the town goes into hiding. Soon more vehicles come and 3 more people are killed. There is two people unfazed by this all, Seth and Audrey. We find out more about Seth and Audrey and why this is the case.
I think this is a really interesting concept, right down to the sister novel but i just found it okay. Once I took out the interesting concept it was just a 3-3.5 stars for me.
