Writing was stilted and felt like someone had done a lot of research about the history but didn’t know how to translate it to real dialogue/thoughts. Had a lot of passages of people’s thoughts where they clunkily explained exposition or how they were feeling and why in very straightforward ways that didn’t feel natural. I could tell that if the whole book was like this, I was going to be very bored.

A well written fictional account of Alienor of Aquitaine from age 13, through her marriage with King Louis VII, to leaving France with her second husband.
Recommended for fans of Phillippa Gregory or Alison Weir.

this author apparently did psychic research for this by vibrationally accessing the demiplane of all of human existence. so that's some knowledge i have to live with i guess!

Not bad but feels really bland compared to some other historical fiction (Hild, Wolf Hall).
