It's Samantha Young, y'all... Can it even be bad? ABSOLUTELY NOT! If she writes it, I'll read it! The 4th book in the Highlands Series does not disappoint! I loved Jared and Allegra's story! Each had their own past traumas and these traumas played a huge part in their relationship growth. Their marriage of convenience was written so beautifully! They are the epitome of "grumpy/sunshine!" Those Ardnoch men and their mouths!! Holy crap!! I listened to this via audio and read along and Jason Clarke's Scottish accent was on POINT!! Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I am SO DANG EXCITED for the next book where we'll read about Lewis and Callie's relationship!! Excellent job, Samantha Young!!

At least she wasn’t kidnapped in this one. The writing was not as great but the story line was better than the other books in the series.

Found another book to add to my comfort reads. The perfect marriage of convenience, small town, rebellious Hollywood daughter, Scottish highlands story is here with Jared and Allegra. I really love this couple and their story. This is such a great romantic suspense series!! Highly recommend.

Skies Over Caledonia is book 4 in The Highlands series. It’s a small town, romantic suspense.
Allegra and Jared’s love story was a pleasing tale. You could definitely feel the chemistry between the two right off the bat. They come to a mutual agreement that created really entertaining tension. I immensely enjoyed how Jared’s protective side grew for Allegra. I loved getting another glimpse of the characters from the previous books. Can’t wait for the next one.
Shane East and Stella Hunter did an outstanding job narrating the characters and bringing the story to life.
